About

To be a post-college 20 something independent female is not always easy. Once you receive that diploma in the mail, one realizes that what it really signifies is graduation from naivete and an invitation to a rude awakening that is known as the real world.  All these responsibilities, obligations, and concerns enter into your vocabulary and yet you still (want to) feel like a kid.

My priorities, which are very important to me, at this age can be listed by the following:

  • Career Success
  • Work/Life Balance
  • Continuing my Self/Formal Education past my Undergraduate career
  • Maintaining a great relationship with my loved ones

To be a post-college 20 something independent female is even harder when you basically want everything. “Everything” (including the aforementioned priorities), would be further defined by the following things.

  • Financial Freedom (saving money, investing money, lack of debt)
  • Pursuit of Continuous Education (reading, hearing, seeing)
  • Accumulation of Materials (clothes, electronics, etc)
  • Fun New Experiences with Friends and Family (entertainment and travel)
  • New Skill Sets (cooking, writing,  etc)
  • Career Success

What is important to note is that,  when you are a post-college 20 something independent female, it is the best time to be hungry about getting the most out of life. These are the times that one should be tireless about establish good habits and strive towards maintaining a healthy and successful work/life balance.

All these things mainly require time, money and energy but what makes it even more difficult, is that many of these items oppose each other (ex: financial freedom vs. accumulation of materials).

This blog is about the pursuit of my “everything”. It is important to note that I am more interested in the process rather than the result. As long as a person continuously strives for self improvement, it is guaranteed that they can be a better person than they were the day before.

Some common themes that emerge through this blog include avenues of resource that I’ve used to try and balance all my objectives. I’ve learned that with creativity, organization and energy, almost anything is possible! Some of these 20 something themes will include:

  • Resourcefulness (DIY’ing- Doing It Yourself)
  • Organization/Goal Setting
  • Motivation/Inspiration

Finally, this blog also features many of my interests- cooking, film, art, etc. – and experiences in exploring Southern California.
